The Battle of Mandalay

The Battle of Mandalay in March 1945 was the final large-scale engagement in Burma. The commander of the 98th Brigade, which captured Mandalay, later presented a lecture on this ‘unique’ battle. His original notes have been rediscovered by Fourteenth Army specialist James Luto, which include first-hand accounts of the fighting.
