Istepped on board HMS Fearless as the sole representative of my unit, tasked with providing intelligence expertise. Perhaps I could be forgiven if I felt a little daunted. Nicknamed ACORN (army ‘code’ for intelligence), my 3 Commando colleagues and I began the war with zero information. But, perhaps like the seed turning into a mighty oak, we developed a decisive intelligence picture.
