Barn Find

A 1944 Ford GPW Jeep, found last year in a barn, having lain untouched for 17 years, is now recommissioned but retains its original patina. This Jeep is unusual in as much as it has the original engine and the chassis, body and engine serial numbers are original, intact and matching. It needed all-new brake cylinders and pipes, one gearbox bearing and a new cam chain. The engine and gearbox had become seized from standing but were successfully freed with patience and gentle persuasion.

The canvas hood and other parts not attached to the vehicle were found in the freezer next to it.
