To protect supply convoys in Vietnam, the US Army turned to armoured gun trucks – improvised fighting vehicles that boasted impressive amounts of firepower 

 For as long as two sides have waged war against one another, attempts to disrupt an enemy’s supply lines has been a key tactic. An army’s ability to fight is seriously compromised when cut off from the resources needed to power its war machine – be these food, ammunition, fuel or medical equipment. History is littered with examples of how this was achieved.
