The Covenanter featured in CMV 195, dug up in May this year from the chalk soil of Denbies Vineyard in Surrey, has been on display at the entrance to the vineyard but it is soon set to move to workshops in the north west where it will undergo extensive restoration.
The move follows its appearance on October 23 on the History Channel’s WW2 Treasure Hunter programme presented by Suggs from Madness and archaeologist Stephen Taylor.
