Over the past four years the world has seen numerous events to commemorate those who lost their lives in the ‘war to end all wars’. From International commemorations such as the one held at Passchendaele to local events held in a village hall or church, the stories of sacrifice, tragedy and heroism have never been so set in the national collective memory.
