A family-owned UK business has built a global reputation for the quality and detail of its 1:6 scale metal military vehicle kits

For the past 20 years, Hampshirebased company Armortex has made kits that have been exported to customers in more than 30 countries. The impressive 1:6 scale metal models, some weighing more than 130kg, include ‘classics’ such as a Tiger 1, a Centurion and a Russian T34.
Co-owner Kian Shroff said Armortek had grown into a global business since shipping its first Panzer IV tank in 2001. “When Armortek first started, almost all the manufacturing was contracted out,” he explained. “Around 2005, new owners took over and brought production in-house to better control quality and delivery.”
