With Covid still a threat and restrictions on international travel in place in many countries, Tracks and Trade will this year be held online. Ivo Rigter (Snr), one of the founders of Tracks and Trade said it had not been an easy decision for organisers to make. “But we felt it was the best thing to do rather than having to cancel at the last minute,” he said.

“The initial plan of launching the event in May 2022 combined with the Militracks in Overloon was a sound decision when made last year. But, with current developments and many countries experiencing travel restrictions or lockdowns, we felt there was still a substantial risk that we would have to postpone the event again due to Covid.”

The inaugural event was scheduled to take place last year in The Netherlands but was postponed to May due to Covid. With military vehicle collectors and museum curators from around the world expected to attend, Ivo said they needed to consider current and future travel restrictions and concerns individuals had around international travel during the pandemic.
