Stockton House Receives Grade II Protections

A HOME in Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham, has been listed by Historic England to mark the 70th anniversary of ‘The List’. The building, a private residence since the 1920s, is thought to have been the Royal Navy’s only station capable of intelligence gathering at the outbreak of the Great War. The station was established between 1912 and 1913, with the call sign ‘BYT’.
