Renault FT17 World War One tank, open so allowing a great view of the cramped inside
Ten miles east of Utrecht on the A28 is the small town of Zeist, on its outskirts is Soesterberg, the first purpose-built military air base, In 2014 this site opened as the Nationaal Militair Museum of the Netherlands. Until then the Dutch Army, navy and air force each had their own national museums, but now all three have been brought together and housed in this splendid 35,000 m2 building.
