It was early August 2015 when I sent the twins, Nick and Phil Rutherford, to Kent in the UK to meet with Rob Lowden, the new owner of a Panther A medium tank that had once seen action during World War Two. The tank’s previous owner, Rod Cadman, had taken the difficult decision to part with the Panther after realising that with all the other projects he had on the go, it was never going to get restored in his lifetime.
