Just a quick note to say thank you for advising me that I am one of the lucky winners of the (Land Rover Revell) competition. Whilst it would have been better to win the original competition for the Hotchkiss Jeep, and yes I have been a subscriber to your magazine since issue 1 (firstly in paper form but for the last few years electronically), it is really pleasing to have been drawn and I’m sure that the prize will provide many hours of relaxation over coming months. I don’t have a green machine myself (but do have a pretty original 1962 Lambretta) but have always enjoyed your magazine, especially the links between the wonderful restoration works being carried out by the army (pardon the pun) of dedicated individuals and groups out there, and the social and military history which underpins each vehicles story. It’s probably not good enough to publish but I have attached a photograph of my paternal Grandfathers unit in the First World War (he’s the 10th from the right on the lower row). All stood in front of, and on, what I assume are two Foden Steam Wagons. Thanks again and keep up the good work.
