AS THE Hellcat is an important operational part of our armour collection, your recent cover story on this tank destroyer (CMV August 2023) praised and condemned in equal measure by those who crewed them provided fascinating insight into its design and operations. Our visitors are constantly amazed when we tell them that it was capable of speeds up to 50mph as a means of staying out of harm’s way, although we never run it at those speeds for obvious reasons. Nevertheless, it allowed us to commission this cartoon to make a point with our guests.

In the article titled ‘Whatever the Weather’ on page 50 of the August 2023 issue of Classic Military Vehicle magazine, it was written that the Norfolk Tank Museum purchased its British Army Aktiv Fisher Snow-Trac ST4 from the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum. In fact, the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum donated the vehicle to the Norfolk Tank Museum.
