These three books were written about D-Day just 25 years after the event

These three books covering D-Day are part of an 100+ series of texts about World War Two publiched by McDonald & Co in the UK and Ballantine Books in the US

What makes these three books different to the many others about D-Day – is that two of them were written by people who were there. All are part of a huge late 1960s series that was published in the UK by McDonald and Co, although confusingly they were printed and bound by Purnell &

Sons Ltd and published in conjunction with the Imperial War Museum. That 100+ series of books were reviewed here a couple of years ago, but these three have been selected simply as books that relate to the Normandy campaign of 1944.
