The last few weeks of 2018 were busier than in previous years, most probably due to the 2019 anniversary events on the horizon. But it isn’t just World War Two vehicles coming to market, Jeeps continue to command prices 15% higher than they did this time last year.
This month’s entry-level vehicle at £2,400 was a diesel-engined Dodge WC63, minus its rear body and needing full restoration. But it is achievable.
A lovely Morris Commercial CS8 ready to show at £26,000 reflected the justified increase in the value of World War Two British softskins: two project Matadors looked viable at £1,500 and £2,000 each.
We don’t see many M37 Dodges in Europe and like buses two came along together at €12,000 and €15,500.
Airborne Garage in Holland continues to find some stunning vehicles. Its latest offering - a KÜbelwagen Pick Up is claimed to be the only survivor of its kind. Built in 1944 for the Heereszugambt in Kassel, it was recently discovered in Austria.
