BOEING HAS RECEIVED a $2.2-billion contract modification associated with production of 17 Lot 8 full-rate production P-8As as well as options for 32 additional aircraft and the purchase of long-lead times for Lot 9. The Lot 8 aircraft comprise 11 Poseidons for the US Navy, four for Australia and the first two for the United Kingdom. The Lot 10 long-lead items are associated with the planned purchase of seven aircraft for the US Navy and three for a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customer. Australia has already accepted two P-8As and the UK deliveries are scheduled for delivery from April 2019.
