There have been some staggeringly-high prices paid for vehicles and spare parts at auction in recent months. Nigel Hay reports

Military Vehicle Market

Auction fever has certainly spread among the military vehicle world this month. The beautiful Maultier we featured last month reached a staggering €310,000 plus the fees under Hermann Historica’s hammer. That is €80,000 more than the guide price and is (apart from staff cars with high ranking Nazi provenance) we think the highest price since records began for a World War Two German softskin. The two project Kublewagens at Aiolfi‘s Caen auction fetched €50,000 each, with the Schwimmwagen making €110,000.
