After meeting Rod Lowden, the owner and curator of the privatelyoperated Australian Armour and Artillery Museum, you realise just how passionate he is about what he does.

The blood, sweat and tears required to search, restore and display one of the largest collections of military muscle in the Southern Hemisphere is almost palpable.

Rod and his team scour the world’s battle sites, scrap yards and abandoned collections to fill his massive museum which boasts more than 150 artillery and armoured pieces, some dating back to World War One.
