A little piece of the Allied advance comes to Denmead. There were a number of set pieces at the show including this Normandy-style US Army rest area which included a Jeep, an M3 half-track fitted with a 105mm howitzer, and a converted Red Cross GMC 6x6 serving coffee and doughnuts
Event The Overlord Show
The Solent Overlord Military Collectors’ Club (SOE) pulled out all the stops for this year’s Overlord Show at Denmead in Hampshire. They even arranged sunshine for the entire bank holiday weekend! Visitors were greeted with a wealth of military vehicles ranging from a World War One Model T to all manner of World War Two soft skins through to vehicles from the Cold War and recent conflicts.
