Military Vehicle Market
Nigel Hay’s round-up of the military vehicle market
It has been an interesting run into spring as we have seen many more CVRTs and Snatch Land Rovers hoovered up for use in Ukraine. Those directly released from the MoD via Brightwells have generally been making more money than a few months ago. The banks have not always made this easy and Tanks A Lot, which has already supplied a large number of vehicles to Ukraine, made national news when Barclays decided to close the company’s business accounts with very little warning. They took on owner Nick Mead, who is never shy of publicity, and his resulting outcry attracted massive press coverage, even being mentioned during question time in the House of Lords. We are watching the unfolding story with interest.
California is not normally where you would expect to find a collection of British fighting vehicles but, as CMV went to press, auctioneers Bonhams was offering the Heroes Collection, which included a very nice Chieftain, an Abbot FV432 and FV433 and a 1950s Alvis Saracen.
