BAIV’s new premises in Nederweert

Netherlands-based BAIV specialises in the restoration and preservation of US and British historic armoured vehicles and tanks. Founding member, Ivo Rigter (Snr), 60, is the son of a veterinary surgeon from Groenlo (the ‘Achterhoek’) in the province of Gelderland.

Ivo studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University in Enschede and started his career as an engineer at DAF Special Products in Eindhoven. He subsequently worked as a project leader and manager at various international companies and was also active in the management and development of major industrial maintenance. In 2000 he started his own company where he continued his business entrepreneurial ambitions.
