YORKSHIRE WARTIME EXPERIENCE

John Carroll enjoyed a scorching day at the extravaganza that is the annual Yorkshire Wartime Experience

Tracked vehicles including a selection of Bren Carriers and US half-tracks paraded around the main arena in the sunshine

The annual Yorkshire Wartime Experience takes place within the confines of a farm site atop the Pennines in East Bierley just outside Bradford.

It is easily accessed from the Trans-Pennine M62 motorway and has all the things you'd expect of a successful show.

This includes separate trade, camping and re-enactor display areas as well as parking fields for day visitors, arranged around a main arena used for moving vehicle displays and reenactments.

Some reenactment groups were dug in alongside the arena. These displays are all carefully timetabled to run throughout the weekend as are musical performances in the show marquee.

Within any hobby scene, everything is slowly evolving regardless of whether the associated changes have positive or negative impacts.
