Lightweights and Heavyweights Galore

There are plenty of military vehicles for sale at the moment at prices to suit most pockets. We have seen more Jeeps than normal come onto the market, but these are almost rivalled by the number of Dodge weapons carriers for sale.

This is probably good timing in the run up to the 75th anniversary of D-Day, where our historic military vehicles stand a good chance of being outnumbered by blacked out SUVs and Humvees as the heads of state roll in to grab their photo opportunities. One of the last Stuart M3A1s from Brazil is currently on sale by RR Services which imported them all some years ago. It is partially restored and a very viable project and investment.

And yes, it is photographically proven that these early Stuarts were used in Normandy by British forces – so there is no excuse for not getting this one ready for next June.

Built from a T55, a running and driving replica Tiger 1 offered by a Swedish museum for offers upwards of £62,000 attracted a lot of interest within hours of the advert appearing on Milweb and may well head to one of several new and growing US museums – so we may not see it at Beltring.
